Letter from the Wilcox Family!

Recently the Chamber received a letter that will be posted in the Bylines per the request of the Wilcox Family. I am posting this letter on my blogspot because I feel everyone needs to see and know that everyone's efforts were greatly appreciated!

"November 5, 2012,
Dear Bayview Bylines,

Greetings! We wish to express to everyone in this amazing Bayview Community our utmost appreciation for all of your thoughts, prayers, cards, and calls about our father, Skip Wilcox. The caring you have for our father is truly special, it means a lot to us and tons to him. We can never thank you enough for all you have done and continue to do. (Not to forget the food – oh my what wonderful food you have shared.) Bless each of you.

                                    With our deepest appreciation

                                    Thank you.

My BAD! BAB's Christmas Bazaar

Please, please support this wonderful event. BAB's is one of the best organizations I know of and they deserve our support.

BAB Women’s Club Annual Christmas Bazaar and Craft Fair

Once again we are approaching the Holiday Season and once again BAB’s is having its Annual Christmas Bazaar.  Mark Saturday, December 1st, on your calendar and join us at the Bayview Community Center. We offer lunch at a nominal fee from 11:00am-5:00pm consisting of an excellent selection of homemade soups with salad and a roll – refills unlimited – but save room for some of our delectable Bake Sale items!  Take some home – give them as gifts.  Visit the crafts table for some fun gifts and be sure to buy a raffle ticket ($1 ea or 6/$5) for this year’s beautiful King size quilt entitled ‘Water Lilies’.  We are also raffling off a variety of Theme Baskets again this year. They are always so innovative and you could be a winner!

Last year’s Craft Fair with local vendors was a success prompting us to include them again this year.  Be sure to visit them on the lower level also.

Being a charitable organization, the Christmas Bazaar is one of BAB’s major fund raising events of the year.  All BAB monies are donated to various local programs and institutions such as 4H, the Athol Food Bank, our NIC Scholarship program, the Athol Elementary Library, Girls State and more. We rely on your generosity to continue with these programs.  It’s a wonderful way to start off the Holiday Season.  Hope to see you there!

Skip

Yesterday November 3, 2012 I stopped by to see Skip. I was introduced to his very lovely daughter, Jenny, who is taking care of him.

Skip can have visitors but we need to adhere to his rest requirements.
Skip looked great and is healing well. He expressed that he was so very happy to be back at home again with his view of the Lake. He also stated how much he appreciated every one's support. Seems we in Bayview cherish our residents, especially Skip.

As a reminder Jamie included this with her email to me "Our Community Rock Star is back! I am sure everyone will want to see him and I just encourage folks to keep the visits somewhat short to begin with and be very cautious about spreading any colds and such to Skip. If you are feeling under the weather in the least bit, please wait until you are completely well to go see him as he does not need any other health issues to deal with at this time in his recovery." (Jamie Berube)

I am grateful that I was included in the messages posted to the community.

Skip my hat is off to you!
