Bayview Daze Parade 2013

Bayview 2013

Another Bayview Daze Parade under our belts and now to enjoy the rest of the weekend …

Many thanks to Marsha Ritzheimer, her son David, and grandson Michael. Also thanks to Tom and Jackie Lloyd. Marsha marshaled all of the permits and corralled extra help with  the Parade. We had a couple of glitches and bumps along the way but all in all a great experience for the participants. Also many thanks to Josh and Tess Center, Steve Inman and of course without a doubt Dean for getting the participants going in the right direction.  The only major glitch for us was wrong information being given concerning the Parade route.

From what I understand in all of the years that the Parade has happened Gary Mac Donald never had the opportunity to see the Parade. This year not only did he see the Parade he was a part of it along with the MacDonald family.

Marsha came over to the house afterwards to make sure Chipmunk and Kokanee were still at home. The two apparently decided to take themselves for a run again. Hope everyone has enjoyed the sun and the bluebird day.

At this moment I do not know who the lucky winner was for the 50/50 raffle.

July 6th 2013 Parade Route

For those of you intending to participate in the Parade here is the Parade route.
We had more planning required this year for the actual route:

The Parade participants will be directed to enter on 1st Street, turn north on Fir St, turn east on 5th St. and then South on Pend Oreille and then East on 4th St. Entrance to Main St on Corbin.

Hope to see you there.

As reported by Herb, the Mac Donald family will be the Grand Marshall's in honor and memory of Jim Mac Donald and all that he meant to Bayview. We will have a great menagerie of participants again this year. Judging and announcing will be again from the balcony of the Merch, the winner of he 50/50 raffle will be announced at the Parade.

By popular demand we will have another 50/50 raffle for Labor Day, prize drawn at the Labor Day Breakfast, $1,000.00 prize, and only 100 tickets.

Red, White And Blue Pancake Breakfast

A very heartfelt thank you to all who came to enjoy the breakfast this morning.
We again had folks show up early for the breakfast and the event was a great success.

This would not have been possible without all of the people who volunteer regularly.
Thanks to Dennis Link for always being there for us!
Tom and Jackie Lloyd, Sue and Dennis Damon, Bruce and Judy Robinson, Ted Bare, Paul Stanton, Josh and Tesla Center, Steve and Chalee Inman, Marsha Ritzheimer, Kathi Ellis, and Ken Saunders.
