Colorado Springs

Well this is mind boggling to me. Used to live in Colorado Springs. This is a picture of the Waldo Canyon fire. So as we are having difficulties in Bayview, things could be a lot worse.
I am really grateful for what I have and who I have in my life.

This fire is threatnening the Gardens of Gods Park, the United States Air Force Academy is being evacuated, and several members of my family live in this area.  Dean and I spent 1979 to 1982 living at Ft. Carson, we left for five years and were finally re-stationed again at Ft. Casrson in 1987. We lived in the Springs until 1993. In '93 we moved to Cripple Creek, living in the area until 2003. Cripple Creek was located on the other side of Pikes Peak. Pikes Peak inspired the song "America the Beautiful". My heart goes out to these people.

A Chair

Why is there so much discussion about needing a seat for a person who has a disability?

Upcoming Events

Saturday June 16th at 8:30 am the Bayview Community Center is hosting a delicious Breakfast.
Wednesday July 4th at 8:30 am the Chamber is hosting a fund raiser to help with the Firework Fund.
(Please support your local organizations)
Wednesday July 27th the Center is sponsoring a Pre-Olympics Breakfast.

Contrary to what was recently posted on another blogspot asking for an article concerning the "free lunches and breakfast fund raisers killing business in Bayview."

The various organizations doing fund raising are not trying to kill local businesses, in fact at least one business provided food for the free luncheon. The goal is not to hurt any business but the fact is our organizations do need help to continue to provide services and entertainment, such as the Fireworks.

Boileau's Shores

If you want an honest deal, call the Merch at 683-2216 or 683-9301. Slips are available and waiting for you. Voted best Marina in downtown Bayview, right along with McDonald's Hudson Bay and Bitter End Marina.

Just Sayin'!

"You don't even know what the easement is for." (Pesky Poster)
As I previously stated in my blog, no one is against JD's INC getting a liquor license, what we all objected to was the way JD's was going about the "process".  The Chamber did not stop this from happening. Quit blaming others for what you neglected to do yourself, follow your own "processes" and pay for the liqour license on time.
This signage is childish and immature.

By the way we at the Chamber have applications if anyone wants to join!

Just completed a trip to the Merch, thought I would share that there is poster for a liquor license for sale.
